What is Neem Oil?

Neem oil is a natural, low-toxicity pesticide derived from the neem tree. It's effective against many common plant pests, like aphids and spider mites, by disrupting their metabolism and smothering soft-bodied insects. While neem oil can control pests and fungal diseases, it works best with repeated applications and is less effective on hard-bodied insects. Some plants, like black walnuts and hibiscus, are sensitive to it. Though effective, neem oil has a strong odor, making it more suitable for outdoor use. Test a small area before applying widely.
