Beer

The first historical mention of beer dates back to the 6th century BC in Sumeria, according to Smithsonian. While no one knows for sure how beer was first created, many believe it happened by chance during the process of making bread. Horst Dornbusch, a beer expert and author, suggests that someone might have left some dough outside during a rainstorm, and upon returning later, discovered a fermented liquid. The rest, as they say, is history!
