Pink Lemonade

While lemonade has been around since European immigrants brought it to America in the 17th century, pink lemonade has a more colorful backstory. According to Smithsonian, one theory suggests that circus vendor Henry E. Allot accidentally dropped red cinnamon candies into his lemonade, creating the first pink version. Another, more unusual theory claims a vendor used pink-stained water from washing tights when he ran out of clean water for his lemonade stand.
