Corn Flakes

In the late 1890s, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and his brother, Will Keith Kellogg, ran a sanitorium in Battle Creek, Michigan. While working on new food ideas for their vegetarian patients, they accidentally left wheatberry cooking for too long, resulting in flaked kernels. Intrigued, they experimented further, eventually using corn and creating the beloved Corn Flakes we enjoy today.
